For those of you who don't know about Ken Schrader on a local level, he has always had an association with Budweiser. When he drove the Kodiak sponsored car, Bud was on his dirt late model. It was also on billboards around his dirt track, I-55 Raceway (if you have never been there, and have the chance, I would highly recommend it- sprint cars run flat out around the top of the track in the 10-11 second lap range, and late models really haul the mail!) and for a time, Bud products was all they served there.

so when Budweiser left the #11 for the 1995 season, it almost seemed like destiny that they would sponsor Ken in Winston Cup.

Revellogram kit, MCW paints, Powerslide decals. just finished it, the glue is still wet around the windows!

thanks for lookin' Very Happy

Very nice. It seemed he was usually in the hunt in this car, even if he couldn’t break through to win.

Great looking model! What was your opinion of the MCW paint? I have never used it.

Thanks,
Don

didn't his teammate, Jeff, turn him at either Daytona or Talladega and he tool a wild ride?
IIRC made it to Hendricks shop back in 1996 and they had that destroyed car on display....

Thanks!

MCW paint is a the only paint i use for bodies. They have a huge variety of matched colors. Their catalog isn’t all the way updated, but i did manage to find a match to Menards paint.

I don't remember either, but seem to remember either reading about it, saw a video where Kenny said that Jeff came to him after the race and tried to apologize for his "part" in the incident and Kenny told Jeff, not to worry about it as it was just a racing deal.. Might have been a video that was part of the display at Hendricks shop/store......

Saw Kenny Schrader run his IMCA modified at a local dirt track not too far from where I live. Not sure how and why Kenny raced there, other than maybe he was asked.....I don't know. He and a local driver put on a heck of show during their hear race. Kenny manage to win that heat race. The local driver could have easily dumped him to get the win, but did not, as that was how close they were running to each other in the turns.....Unfortunately, Kenny's car broke in the main and was a DNF......

Very nicely done.

Gordon wrecked Schrader at Talledaga. Actually the wreck was caused by Evernham. The cars came to the pits and for some reason and Evernham decided to be a contrarian and either change two tires or no tires for Gordon. When they came back on track Gordon's car was uncontrollable and he caused a big wreck and Schrader went on a wild ride. They interviewed him soon after the wreck and one of Kenny's eyes was already swollen shut.

The next week was an off week for Winston Cup and Schrader was supposed to race at the road course in Topeka, but had to back out of the event.
