getting close to finish on this one, trying to make it Jeff Gordon's Brickyard winning car from 1994. mostly Powerslide decals, a bit of Slixx (grilles) mixed in. Tamiya metallic blue and fluorescent red from rattle cans. chassis is done except for the exhaust, still deciding on how to proceed on that for accuracy. made rear quarter windows and driver window vent out of clear sheet plastic.

Nice! I like the fluorescent red, I used it on Petty's Grand Prix. Are those plug wires the kit's? I remember them on the 2000 to 2003 Taurus. Love the way you added "tire rubs" to the door! John |

Thanks!
The plug wires are from the kit, pretty sure the Lumina was the first NASCAR kit that Revellogram used them in. The later Ford ones were better quality IMO.
The fluorescent red really looks good when it is built up in a few coats, like the fluorescent orange does, really gets glossy and shiny. But you kinda have to build it up. It ain’t a one-and-done paint.
Had to add the tire rubs! They were there on the real car at the end of the race. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

did a lil more work today, added grille tape that you can barely see in the photo, but on the real car the tape was pretty near the same color as the car - it is OLD Slixx stuff and broke on me when i applied it. also added some interior shots, i created a gauge panel out of strip styrene and added a right side head rest. also included a pic with the hood in it, i seem to have forgotten to include that in the initial pics.
and yeah, the body is slightly warped.

Thanks for the compliments, all of you.
It’s finished… in a display case in my model bookshelf. Because of the body warp, the passenger side of the body didn’t sit right and i didn’t care for how it looked, so i didn’t post any pics in the Showroom. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Sad to hear you didn't post the final pics in the showroom. I was looking forward to this one for sure. Anyway, you did an awesome job on everything I viewed in this wip. |

I would just glue the body to the chassis. |
