Was enjoying the 'Margaritaville' lifestyle at my cottage when I spotted the news scrolling through the Saturday morning headlines. Really enjoyed his music. One of my early albums was this great live recording. Still listening to it:
If you haven't read any of his books, check 'em out. I've enjoyed reading - and re-reading - Tales from Margaritaville, Where is Joe Merchant and A Salty Piece of Land. Great stories from around the Gulf and the Caribbean. He was a fine writer. |

A friend of mine introduced me to his music a little after high school and i grew to love it. Had the pleasure of seeing him live in St. Louis in the late 1990s and it was great, one big party.
He will be missed. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

I too was a big fan of Jimmy Buffett, though my favorite Buffett song was Come Monday, followed by Ringling, Ringling, which appealed to my Railroad interests. |

This was always a bit of a sleeper track with Jimmy Buffett, but as years have passed, it's become one of my favorites from him. And he clearly loved it.
