Good day. I’m planning my next build and I’m starting Holman Moody’s last car built, Bobby Unsers 1972 Torino. I’ve been able to get a lot of info on type of suspension, but I was wondering if anybody had pictures of HM’s 72’ Torino chassis. I’ve been able to collect enough pictures for engine bay and the interior, but need some shots of chassis. Thank you in advance. |

Do a search for "Unser" on this forum. There are some builds and a fab shop thread. They have it built as a long truck arm car. You may be able to PM him with some questions. People around here are pretty helpful. |

The car still exists in unrestored condition. I've never crawled under it but I believe it's a short trailing arm car patterned after the '65-'66 Galaxies and the '72 Penske Matador. The interior rear floor doesn't appear to show any signs of the truck arm clearance boxes that need to be added to the rear floor area to allow for the long arms to travel.

Hey Tom, thanks for correcting that, just going by what someone else built here.
I am planning on doing the 1972 Donleavey car sometime, do you know what that one was? |
