Certainly sounds like a loose electrical connection, or a wire has rubbed through and is going to ground. Closing the car door or hood likely moves that wire just enough to allow a start the next time. Also don't overlook a frayed starter wire; lotsa heat under the hood of modern front wheel drive cars can quickly degrade wire insulation, even with low miles. |
