I've been using Solvaset exclusively for a few years now vs Micro Sol because it is more aggressive and conforms basically all decals to body contours. You all advised me a while ago (couple of years) not to worry when using over Future when you get the white reaction. I b just stopped doing that and just Tamiya cleared instead.
Well, ordered some Ace decals this week for a Stacy Regal and the Solvaset attacked the Chevron on the hood and left some wrinkles that after multiple light applications are not going away. Any thought? Maybe try Micro Sol? Put tape on a rip them off and order another set. All the numbers and 1/4 panel decals when on just fine?

Thanks

Pictures would be useful in helping us solve this issue. And avoiding future issues for other builders.

Try thinning it with water because I just started having the same issue using Solvaset on Slixx decals

Having used both extensively on Model Railroad projects, I will agree that Solvaset is HOTTER than Microsol. My experiences were with Microscale & Champ decals, which were rather thick, but durable. Also used mostly Floquil & Scalecoat paints, which were durable & could withstand several applications of Solvaset. The deal here was to make sure the paint had several days to cure & dry.

Yeah, I'll try the diluated trick before ordering another set.

The paint is well cured. Probably been 60 days and is Tamiya. I no longer use any enamel sprays. If I have to order another set be on the lookout for some partial decal sets offered soon. 😞
