I’m on my second Mustang kit and I cannot find a way to make the Ford specific snorkel and air cleaner fit right so the hood will completely close. Has anyone else ran into this issue? No matter how much trimming and adjusting I do, the hood won’t close tight with them in place.

Couple of options if you havent already figured something out by now.

1. Do not use/remove the cross bar , part # E33, once the entire airbox/snorkel piece is in place you really can't see it.

2. Remove some of the middle section of the cross bar ( part E33) to allow the air box snorkel to sit further down like it needs too

I am working on 2 of the Mustangs and right now I have just removed the cross bar.

On my first Camaro build I could not get the hood to fit flush with the air cleaner in place. On my second build of the Chastain Camaro, I did not have the problem. I think it had something to do with the way I atttached the front bars to the firewall. I did it wrong on the Suarez kit but correct on the Chastain kit. I ended up not installing the air cleaner on the Suarez kit. Nothing is worse than a non-flush hood fit.

On my Ford builds didn't use C34, E33, and cut big tab off M97 so hood fit properly.
