Hello all…

I’m about to start building the

1998 Valvoline SYNPOWER Taurus.

After reading, I think I’ve got the color right but….

I’ve found photos of the car with a regular #6 on the roof and a BLACK spoiler. (Mecum auction website)

Almost as if, after it ran at the Brickyard, all the “No Bull” stuff was replaced.

Was this scheme ever used again in 98…or was it converted to like, a showcar?

Can anyone help?

Tony

I would take any images from Mecum auto auctions with a grain of salt. They are known for selling Cup cars that are know where near accurate or how they ran. It was only run at the Brickyard.

I would echo Clyde's comments about auction cars. They are not necessarily restored with an attention to detail to use as a reference.

Yes, and a lot of show cars ended up in private hands. Show cars aren't known for accuracy either.

The photos in my 1998 Winston Cup Yearbook shows the Brickyard car with the No Bull orange roof number, front nose skirt and spoiler. Per Racing Reference, the Brickyard was the only race for Synpower in 1998.
