I'm undertaking a project that will require me to build some slight contours on a car which means the putty will have be slightly thicker than just a skim coat. Squadron? Tamiya? Bondo? What say you? _________________ Dennis

Evercoat is my go to for filler. Similar to Bondo, but sands smoother and no pinholes. Automotive paint supply stores have it, but some vendors such as MCW sell it in small quantities. |

Squadron White was my all-around putty, but it can crack and crumble on thin spots.
There was a German Revell putty called 'Plasto' which held together a little better - not sure of availability on that currently.
But for contouring I have been using Tamiya 2-part epoxy putty. It is a pleasure to work with. Dries very hard and smooth. Quality product. _________________ Bill Jobson is my real name. |
