|
|
Now that there are both Dodge and Plymouth versions of both the '71 and '72 Mopars, and '73/4 Chargers, I'm wondering what decals are out there to do different versions (other than the ones kitted).
The ones I'm aware of are (listed from Mike's Decals site):
- # 2/7/11 Kilbourn Gardens Road Runner Powerslide #379
- # 3 Cale Yarborough Ray Fox Road Runner Powerslide #375
- # 9 Housby Mack Pete Hamilton Road Runner Powerslide #376
- #22 Dick Brooks Road Runner Powerslide #377
- # 04 Hershel McGriff Dodge Charger ACE
- # 2 Dave Marcis Dodge Charger ACE
- # 5 K-Mart Special 1970's Dodge Charger ACE
- # 6 American Brakeblok Charlie Glotzbach 1971 Charger ACE (includes decals for the 1971 Pete Hamilton Plymouth)
- # 8 10,000 RPM Dale Earnhardt 1975 Charger Powerslide #340
- #18/36 Joe Frasson/ HB Bailey 1971 Dodge Charger ACE
- #32 Simoniz Dick Brooks Chargers Powerslide #343
- #42 Marty Robbins Dodge Charger Powerslide #361
- #67 Buddy Arrington 70's Dodge Charger ACE
- #67 Buddy Arrington Charger Powerslide #344
- #75 Butch Hartman Chargers Powerslide #342
- #79 Frank Warren Chargers Powerslide #341
- #79 Frank Warren Native Tan Dodge Charger ACE
- #96 Olympia Beer Ray Elder 1971 Dodge Charger ACE
Any others that I'm missing?
At some point I'd like to do the #99 STP '71 Plymouth that Fred Lorenzen drove during his comeback, but I haven't seen those as yet.
Also, if anybody has built any alternate versions of these cars it would be great to see some pics! |

The Lorenzen STP #99 was one of Yesterday's earliest sheets, pretty hard to find now.

Thanks for that. Hopefully this sheet will make a return with the Salvino's kits coming out... or maybe it will be a future Salvino's issue perhaps? They seem to be doing a lot of STP cars (Petty/Baker), so fingers crossed.
Also noted that the '71 Plymouth kit has a '72 rear bumper included on the tree, so I'm sure we'll see a Petty '72 version, and perhaps some others... |

Very interesting. Thanks for the additional info.
The 1971 Keselowski Dodge Charger is a nice looking car. No sponsor on the pic I found (by google). I wonder how many races he made that year. There's also a #19 version found online. |

One more question:
Has anybody ever done decals for the Winston show car that was built by the Pettys back then? I've wanted to do this one for awhile.
