Anyone ever used DupliColor clear over laser printed decals? I am a bit concerned it may be too "hot".

| Used Tamiya clear over my laser decals if that helps. Dupli being auto aimed MAY be to hot.....TEST! |

Laser decals are not ink so it would take something very hot to make them smear. I have been coating mine with future with a wide soft brush with much success but believe it or not future is too hot for my inkjet decals. I was using testors clear on them but very light coats so they dont run. the only problem is I dont want to spray anymore so I need to find something I can brush on my inkjet decals. I went back to inkjet because they are much crisper for the colored decals that go over the white underlay laser decals. Thats also good because I dont have to keep switching out cartridges when making my decals. I just leave the ghost white cartridge in the laser printer. |

I printed a test sheet and sprayed several light coats of DupliColor clear and had no issues. Thanks for the info gentlemen.

Mark - just a thought: you might experiment with future in a pump spray, like those plastic hair product pump sprays. and 'mist coat' the sheet. I'm thinking its the water content of the Future that is dissolving the ink, and brushing is working too much into the sheet in a single pass.
Of course you'd have to rinse out the pump afterward...
