Help
I have been out of the model room or sometime and getting back in so the question is back when I was building the interior and roll bars where painted with a light gray, but what are you guys painting these days?

Depends on what era you are building. I am stuck in the past, so a light gray works for most of my builds. The newer cars use an off white color.

For me, it depends on the era and what I'm building, ie Cup, Xfinity or a late model, limited sportsman or street stock. Cup and Xfinity are light gray or white. Late models, limiteds and street stocks are usually the same color as the car or a complimenting color. Of course if I'm trying to replicate a real car, I'll go with those colors.

for the last few years of Cup cars i use Tamiya AS-20 Insignia White. it's a slightly grey-ish tone of white.

For my 80s-early 2000s builds I use SEM Chassis gray 61113

Got a can of that for the same time frame of cars. Also a can of MCW chassis/dove grey.
