1997 Petty Pontiac. I think this was driven by Bobby Hamilton at the time, but there weren't any driver name decals included.

For colors, Tamiya TS-23 Light Blue and Mr. Color 171 Fluorescent Red.

I added the Earnhardt bar, but that was about it for mods.

These kit decals were by far the worst that I have dealt with from the 20+ year old kits. Some worked, but if they didn't, they shattered into a thousand pieces. I tried piece together what I could and then found a second set online (which seemed to be a bit better) to finish up.

Next time with old decals like this, brush on a thin coat of pledge floor finish that use to be future. it will hold them together but you will have to cut them out exactly on their edges unless you don't mind a thin coat of future around them. but iit will keep them from shattering. Excellent job on the model.

Nice looking model. I think I have this kit in the stash to build one day. Gives me incentive to get mine out to work on.

Great job! I've been a King Richard fan since around 1965/ 1966.

Real nice, clean work! I can see why you came back to the hobby, would be a shame to waste that kind of talent. I too am a Petty Fan, all my life. My dad built race motors with Maurice Petty
