I am in need to get some images of the car Australian Allan Grice raced at the Coke 600 in 1989. It’s a great looking car and I would love to add it to the collection if I can get enough shots to have decals made.
Really need front on, the rear, roof, trunk etc.
I’ve found the two below along with a blurred image on ttack.
98A788AD-2A91-46F9-86CF-DEECD5FB8F6F
985F3786-16FA-4480-8661-FBAE639B8526

I have also grabbed a couple of screen shots from a TV story from here.
Thanks for any help.

I have been wanting to do this car also. I took this screen print. It shows the rear of the car. Looks like:
Carlton Ross And Associates (Like the side of the car)
CR (logo) FINANCIAL SERVICES 47

Replay the race on youtube, there are some shots of this car around the 2 hour 35 minute mark.

Not sure on colors. Maybe Camel Yellow? The blue is pretty dark.

Well, anyway, here's the preview. Some minor tweaks and these will be ready.

Let me know what you think.

Foster's Brewery lists their colors as Cyber Yellow and Midnight Blue.
The decal looks great. I think the 47 on the rear is red. I looked all over trying to find a better shot of the rear. I'm pretty sure it says FINANCIAL SERVICES under Carlton and Associates, but you can't really make out the font.

Think maybe the 47s and hood logos will bleed over the blue? Maybe white underlays for the major items put over the blue?

There's a Pontiac Arrow on front between grilles.

I'm in for a sheet.

Easy enough to add the Pontiac Arrow. There will be white underlays for all of the decals on the sheet.

Looking at the poor rear image and now you say the Financial Services I think you are spot in.
Also the back #47 is red..

I've added the "Financial Services" and changed the rear 47 to red. I pretty much had to guess on the font for the Financial Services. I can't find any clear image of the rear of the car.

It’s certainly a hard one with the rear….I’ll go with what you have worked out. Looking at the Aussie flag, do you think it needs to be squared up a little? Looking at the rear quarter it’s not the usual shape for a flag.

Let's talk about the interior/chassis color? Almost appears to be a burgundy color vs a straight red.

Thoughts?

I have too much time on my hands. I looked through hundreds of fonts for the rear. I know the picture is not clear, but I found this interesting one.
There are 3 Valvoline decals inside the car along the back. The stripe on the side looks to be a little more blue in the photo with Grice standing by the car.
Thanks for making this happen. Maybe we can talk about making decals for
Grice's 1987 Foster's Lager Oldsmobile.

The 3 Valvoline decals were pointed out to me previously and have already been added to the sheet. What font is that you used for the Financial Services? I'll preview the updated sheet once it's finished.

Thats the cool thing about this forum that makes it the best place to come for NASCAR modeling. I've seen it done multiple times on here. Someone posts a pic of an obscure car asking a question and within a week a member has an accurate sheet designed and ready to go. Awesome work.

Got my copy paid for.

Has anyone that is going to build this car settled on what colors to use and brand of paint?

I've asked MCW and they have not come up with anything or they are still working it.

I look at the pics and I see a dead match shape-wise to the AMT kit. When I receive my decals I'll check to see how they'll fit on the slightly smaller body.

In regards to this.. I can scale these down to 1:25. I can rescale these, or any of my decals, to pretty much any scale from 1:64 to 1:18.

Hey Jeff I was thinking of going with Insignia red, it has that slight crimson tone to it. The blue I was looking at th3 Tamiya LP bright blue, I’m sure it’s not a metallic and th3 yellow possibly scroll but yellow.
