|
|
Was doing a paint job with Tamiya to series of rattle cans. A little bit of overspray happened when the tape line peeled up. I tried to remove it with a a tip dipped in testers thinner That didn’t work. Any tips greatly appreciated
I know I could mask it off and repaint over the over spray but I’m look for a possible alternate solution |

Alcohol 90-92% will remove Tamiya down to the plastic. Removing a layer will be tricky. Polish compound may take off overspray. |

I was thinking maybe wet-sand with a really fine grit and lots of water. 1500-2000 grit. |

Wet sand it. Let the paint dry out for a couple of days then wet sand with 2000 or 2500 grit. It'll look fine after you clear it. Worst case you'll have to tape the are off and touch up the paint a little. |
