Champagne with black side bolsters. Sent Tom M some photos. Perhaps he will post.

Might be a few days before Tom can post. He is in the midst of moving back to South Carolina from NH.

Heard that Tom was moving back to God's Country from the barren north.

I can forward the e mail to anyone else who would care to post the shots. I have not used a hosting service since Photobucket screwed everyone over.

The top three shots and the bottom two shots are of Lorenzen's 65 Galaxie. Fred used the same Champagne colored seats in that car as he did in his 64 (Middle two shots are of the 64 at Riverside). The color shot is of Fred' 65 that I restored. Posted to show the color.
Hope this helps out.
THANKS Pat!

Thanks Bill! Having lived long, I will not truck with purple haired, little 23 year old, fascists in California presuming to grade my papers. FB and all of social media is a cancer on the body politic. Best if all would avoid it.

Getting bullied?
I hear they are taking over Austin!

Seriously, "social media" will be the downfall of mankind.

Young kids don't even know how to write in cursive!
Guess they will all sign their names with an "X".

Bullying you say? Hardly. I am just philosophically and constitutionally unable to allow the little lefty deviants who oversee FB to dictate what they feel is acceptable for normals to post. And in particular when their censorship happens a priori.

Agreed. I avoid it whenever possible. IMHO whatever good may have come of it is far outweighed by the cost it has inflicted on our society.

Best way to avoid social media (faceache, instaturd, twatter) it is to NOT be on it, like me.

Agreed, but I won't cut off my nose to spite my face. For example, I will sometimes browse facebook marketplace to see what old cars are for sale in my area, but I will not participate in facebook groups, etc.

Anyhow, back to topic. Great info on the Lorenzen Ford! Thanks!

Wow this is great information...and timely because I want to start this car.
Is the reservoir behind the seat a fire suppression device.
If anyone has knowledge to share it would be great. Thanks!

Dr Craft
what would the tank behind the seat be? oil for the rear end? and what is that funnel shaped object on the rear fire wall?

Thanks. Joe

If I may answer for the good Doctor, the tank behind the seat is the fire supression tank and the funnels in the cockpit are the nozzels that spread the fire suppresant, if activated,

Correct Bill. That is the very first on board fire system that H&M tried out after Fireball's death. It consisted of a tank full of CO2 and nozzles/tubing to disperse it around the car's interior. Mr. Moody told me the H&M guys had pirated it from a DC something airplane's engine nacelle. It was NOT used long as the teams realized that when employed in a car with closed windows....it would have suffocated the driver. In the middle of the 65 season H&M switched to the dry powder "Purple K" system that was used through the balance of the factory period.
