Missing decals and (2) wheels - I believe the kit is otherwise complete.
Slight glue reside on drivers side.
Windshield posts straight.
Box is solid but faded.

Wonder why that one didn't get reissued?
Its clearly not the Miller license, round2 just did the GMC cabover and 40 ft dry van.
Supposedly NASCAR is working with JR Salvinos to get kits produced.
Did the model king repops not do well?
I've been asking for years for the K&K Daytona, yeah, I know, its got issues, but so what?
Which kit doesn't?
Surely if Round2 is getting revenue out of those fidgety, dated big trucks they could see some benefit from the old cup cars.
Don't get me wrong, I love the old big rigs. I've bought a bunch of em.
Sorry didn't mean to hijack your post. |

That Chevy body was modified after the NASCAR kit ran its time. We asked about it and RC2 said a new body would need to be cloned. We did the Monta Carlo as it was complete other than the body and headlight doors. I sent mint parts to China and they were tooled. |

If Salvino's does do a body for this one, at least do the correct headlight/grille piece! |

I know most of the pictures are of the 1970 version but it also ran as the 71/72 body style. So the kit is correct for that version. That being said, when I did my version of the decal I did them to fit the Revell 1970 SS kit.

I think the problem is they mixed up the decals and the bodies. They seemed to have put the 70 decals on the 72 body, but who can say for certain as decal placement seemed to change from race to race in those days. Plus, I dont think model builders were as demanding as We are today, one or two flaws in a kit and we seem willing to throw the kit in the trash. not ranting. |

didn't the original issue have the Beer glass on the leading edge of the 1/4 panel graphix? Those Golden Wheels era Kits were fun to build. unfortunately
11 year old me didnt look down and sat on that body. in true kid form it was just a racing accident. |
