Done from a Revell Foose 65 Chevy. Good model to work
with as it's basically a "stock" configuration. Scratch built NASCAR
roll cage out of .062 evergreen rod. PPP decals. "CHEVY"
should be red but otherwise a nice decal sheet. Added some red to the
rims.
When NASCAR banned the hemi for 65 Ray Fox switched
from Dodge to Chevy. Not to successful but a good looking car.
Lee Roy stuck it out but switched back to Dodge for 66 with
car owner Jon Thorne (same Thorne that's the front fender
sponsor on the Chevy). A Young rich guy from Georgia...
Thorne was around for several years but died young. LeeRoy
reached the height of auto racing. But life did not end well
for LeeRoy. Died in a mental hospital (1984)

Sharp looking ride.
Too bad the big Chevy did not have enough grunt to make it to the front row.

Awesome build. I really enjoy darkside builds and the process of building and modifying it.

Super nice build. I always rooted for the 65 chevy's even though I knew they couldn't compete with the fords.
