Another dark side ride.
I used the 67 Revell GTX kit
Daytona 500 livery
PPP tires and wheels, Powerslide decals.
Built a while back and I realize there are potential inaccuracies with this build
I should have added a fuel cell, possibly remove front inner fenders & shock mount assemblies etc
Some scratch building: deckled filler panel, exhaust dumps, fuel filler, most of the interior, etc
Vallejo acrylics, my Petty blue mix (or what looks like it to my eye), brush painted.
Future for clear, again brush painted.
Weathering of the chrome bits
Thank you for looking.

Does the kit come with a roll cage or did you add that aftermarket? |

The kit I used is the Revell RMX85-4481 which is just a road car.
I built this 2 years ago so as best as I can remember the mods to the interior were to remove the rear seat and build filler panels, flat door panel and scratch building roll cage from spare parts box and 2mm Evergreen.
Other mods were minor, just "nascarize" it a bit _________________ "When you arrive at a fork in the road, take it" - Yogi Berra |

Wow, Pierre. I dont know how you got this one past me. Another awesome brush painted build. The color looks great to my eye too. Excellent clean build as usual. This is one build every Petty fan should have, simply from the history behind it. So many wins in a row. I forgot the exact number, but it was alot. Again fantastic build. |
