Got most of the stuff assembled. Some more sanding and it should be ready for paint soon.

Raymond Beadle's new Blue Max Racing NASCAR team would become one of the Factory Pontiac teams in 1983. Strangely enough, Tim Richmond would run the now 3 year old ( and out of production ) LeMans body for most Cup races in 1983, and the current Grand Prix body for a few short track races. Beadle had bought most of Ranier Racing's Lemans at the end of the 1982 season, as Ranier was switching to the Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS for the 1983 season. Beadle was also able to hire several talented crew members of the now - defunct M.C. Anderson Racing team, including crew chief Tim Brewer and engine builder Harold Elliott.

Always found it interesting that Beadle had sponsorship from Motorcraft but ran GM cars.

Even Better is a passage from UMI Publications' Winston Cup'83 Yearbook : pg. 177 " Quickly forgotten was all the joking about an Old Milwaukee car winning the Busch Pole for the Miller High Life Race. " Oh yea -- part of Tim's largess included a new FORD Thunderbird !!! Laughing
