Well I have decided to start something new and I shall see how far I get. I have always liked the look of the 2000's Monte Carlo, even though I am a Ford fan, and well the red of the Budweiser cars has always been a lure.
So here we go with a Junior build, I have decided to add some extra details and how much we shall see how it goes as time passes.

Looking good. Did anyone else notice in that picture of the actual car that the left headlight decal is actually a right side decal upside down? Must have been out of left side headlight decals? LOL.

I see it now but my old eyes did not notice that first time around. Lucky I’m going the Daytona car 😋

Just a little more done, time at the bench is hard to get right now and motivation with a life sucking job certainly is not helping...haha

Nice job on the roll bars, you should make a separate Instagram for models, I wouldn’t miss these updates then lol

I like your method of separating the door/A-pillar bars for a snug fit. I have been doing that with all my builds.

Well I have been very slack and not added anything to this build thread for sometime. As you can see painting is done, decals are going on and so far so good. Paint is Tamiya TS8, i applied the white stripes and then cleared in 2K so use as a mask to then paint the black. It worked OK, i just need to touch up the black areas prior to final clear coat.

Are those the kit decals because that hood decal looks too big for the model. Is the kit 1/25 scale and the decals meant for a 1/24 scale model? The paint looks magnificently flawless.

The kit is 1/24th scale, and the decals are by JWTBM and the decal will fit once it gets laid dow, it’s the angle I think, but it also does go onto the fenders and cowl.
Thanks for the comment.

That's good. an applied decal will look much different then one still on the sheet. my bad.

Decal progress has been good...the large BUD for the hood has settled down well and almost time for clear.

The body is all covered in 2K now and shining like a diamond. A few specks of dust got into it which is a pain as I usually are lucky enough that i avoid that, so a little polishing lies ahead but nothing major.

Thank you all for the replies.....
I got tired of body work on this one, I have been spraying other bodies getting ready for the colder months ahead for us here in the Southern Hemisphere.
So i have done some work on the engine, looking to do some plumbing so want to be able to take the air-cleaner off and show off the carby etc. The threaded rod will be cut down and i have a small nut to lock it all down if i want.

Pulled this on3 back out today, I have changed what I was going to do with it. Wrapping up the engine at present.
