I’m working on one of the MPC 72 Torinos and using PPP tires. The wheel backs are a little loose and won’t stay in place in the tires. Any tips on what to use to tightened that up? I thought about wrapping tape around it, but thought I’d ask here first. Thanks in advance for any help.[/code]

Are you using PPP wheels as well?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. LOL! Yes, PPP tires and wheels. I haven’t pulled the wheels out of the pack yet while still test fitting everything.

My experience with PPP wheels and tires is they fit pretty tight. That said I primarily use 60's-70's Late Model Sportsman Tires and the 60's-70's Holman Moody Style 10 inch wheels.

Same here. They usually fit well. I thinks it’s just these wheel backs from this kit.

Ok, I'm up to speed. Kit stuff and PPP stuff don't always play well together. Can you modify the PPP wheel backs to work with the kit? That would be my first choice.

I've mated kit pieces with PPP. You can wrap a couple rounds of tape around the kit backs, just wrap til it fits snug.

I have glued thin strips of Evergreen to the wheels/backs before to "take up the slack." Just keep it below the edge so it wouldn't be visible with the tire on.
I use 4 equally spaced so the tire fits even. Works on the PPP solid tires.
