sooooo... whipped this one up in about a week, pretty basic build without much detail. that kinda drove me nuts so i added a wired distributor, coil, and some fittings and what turned out to be a very short radiator hose. Started life as a reissued MPC Ridge Runner modified, PPP tires and wheels, RB Motion fittings for what was a non-existent radiator hose, Morgan Automotive Detail (aka MAD Modeling) wired distributor, Parts by Parks coil; carb, spacer, and air filter from Big Donkey Resin, hood from them also; PPP window net, front window screen from Detail Master; fuel filler from Brandon Miller on Shapeways, rear bumper is some channel from Evergreen.

i found this quote online about the paint...

"GM Omaha Orange matches his early coupes... When Richie built his last coupes and first Pintos, he switched to Ford Grabber Orange... Richie used red oxide primer which would tint the oranges a little darker"...

So this model was painted with Tamiya oxide red fine surface primer and Model Master "custom lacquer system" #28105 Grabber Orange. Wonderful decals from Ace, a few small detail decals from Powerslide.

The only thing that i am planning on adding is a clear styrene spoiler at the top of the trunk, with some bracing.

thanks for looking and comments always appreciated and expected.

Nicely done, color looks great (saw the real thing), but I don't remember Richie ever running a Ford motor (at least in a modified)! Never saw a BBC with the distributor in front!

Thanks for the compliments. With my limited knowledge of modifieds from the time frame, i assumed Ford body=Ford engine.

After reading what you said, i looked back at the reference photo that i had and you sure can see the distributor sticking up thru the hood, at the back of the engine. 🤷‍♂️
