Hmmmph... got kinda burned out on this one. I have scale spark plugs from Rbmotion that are installed in the heads- if you have never used these, you really need to see them, they are tiny, accurate works of art. The problem is that there are scale boots that go with them that are tough to work with. That’s the holdup... i really just need to get off my butt and finish. It’s soooo close to being done.
In the meantime, finishing up the #1 Kodiak sprint car from the “bonus” decals on the #27 Kodiak sheet. That was my break from this project. May end up whipping up another sprint car before i get back to the #24. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

I've used them extensively! Fully agree they are works of art and well worth the price. I wish I could afford to use his valve stems on every build but, that's eight per stocker! I recommend him as well.
As for your build here... just waiting to hear it start up! Your eye for the little details is phenomenal. _________________ "Dude, it's not Camelot... it's only a model." "Details man, I need details!!" |

Thanks again for another compliment. I feel that there are tons more details that i could include, just not sure what they are... so i guess i will have to be satisfied with what i have.
Sammy is almost done... so i will be getting back to Chase and his double barreled middle fingers soon _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Looks great!

... and why it’s taking sooooo long to finish
scale spark plugs in the head
the angled scale plug boots
and everything else
Truly should have just run wire to holes in the heads... 🤷♂️ _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Thanks Bill.
Soooo... i played with the plug boots and wire for a few minutes... and decided to 86 the spark plugs. Got a set of Fusion heads from a spare kit and modified the heads and the valve covers to fit. Just going to run wire without plugs and boots... wasted time and money for me. Heads are in paint right now. Should have this one buttoned up here in a few more days, the engine should be together tomorrow. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

The engine is in the chassis, exhaust is on, radiator is in, just need to add the radiator hoses and front wheels and call it a day. Finally.
Will be starting on the 5m Wirtgen sprint car too, got the frame all glued together. Just have to figure out how many parts i want to pirate from a new Saldana kit. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

I know I'm a little behind everyone else, but this thing is a work of art! Unbelievable level of detail here. I'm stunned at how awesome this looks. |

Thanks so much.
Got the plumbing and exhaust in place, the passenger side radiator hose is ridiculously short because of the fittings. Currently waiting for the glue on the air cleaner housing to dry, then going to attach the front wheels. Will post the finished product in the Showroom tomorrow.
