saw one so similar to that at at a drag race in Florida when I was a kid.
Got sideways on the start and flipped. The flat head engine, the rail, and the
driver all went in different directions. As I recall the driver suffered only a broken shoulder. The most unsafe drag racer I have ever seen, and expect
it was that cars one and only race...

I think unsafe is an understatement on this puppy. I think it looks cool but to drive it...not for me.Can you imagine..( Like Hawk pointed out) crashing in that thing...the gas tank is next to you in the OPEN cockpit...

Great build though...

This is the 1950 Dan Kraft rail dragster "The Bug" running at Salt Flats over 100 mph.

... and itīs true: this vehicle donīt had a sidewind assistent!

Original can be seen at Don Garlitīs Drag Racing Museum in Ocala, Florida
