Just as a quick note, I know that normally people do photo builds, but with the downfall of Photobucket and then Flickr, I went ahead and have hopped off of photo side as my main way to document my builds, and have turned to making video builds. Hope You Enjoy!
This build is one I have been looking forward too for a long time! I picked up an old AMT 1964 Ford Galaxie Daytona Sportsman kit from an antique shop for $15! I did find when getting ready to start this build that it was missing a few parts, but all this will be explained in this build overview.

Build Day 1
Build Day 1 was about a 20 minute live stream I originally did to Twitch, but then moved over to my YouTube page. I show stating the work of getting the PPP rims to sit properly into their 9in Firestone tires.

All of these were posted in quick succession to allow you to get caught up to speed on the work done. I usually get to work at the bench about once a week. Once I get a new update posted I will update my thread here. Hope you have enjoyed the progress so far on what is becoming one of my favorite builds. |

Nice work so far. Here is a pic of the underside of a 63-64 Ford, in real life they cut out the foot well areas and replaced with flat steel.

Sorry Bill, I do not have a picture of Tiny's '64 Plymouth and searched the Internet for one, nothing found. |

Build Update
As mentioned in the video, I'm gonna be placing this on-hold as I'm needing to get some $$ saved up to buy the parts for a Spray Booth, as well as getting some gloss paints.

Yeah, I found a video of the #28 car driven by Ken Miles flipping at riverside in 64, and grabbed a screenshot of the car upside down. I am using that for some color references and was going to use that for the piping reference. Given that I have placed this build "On Hold" for paint reasons, I may go ahead and cut out those foot wells and replace them with flat card, similar to what I did in the tail areas. |

Here is a quick pic of the car after getting the decals on. I did a "Dry Fit" to ensure everything sat correctly on the chassis.

The below video is some work done after Build Day 10 was completed. I had a bit of trouble with my gloss work, 100% my fault, went in way to heavy with the gloss coats and well you will be able to see the results.
#32 Tiny Lund 64 Ford Galaxie Build Update 11
After this video was shot, I did work with some sanding sponges and polishers to smooth out some of the spots, and did get some of the hairs out of the clear, which made me happy. I hope to work one evening this week to shoot it with another round of Clear, and hopefully it will all smooth out and self level, if not I will still complete the build, but chock it up to the experience pile for next time! |

Seems like builds never do go smoothly from beginning to end... glad to hear you were able to make progress in fixing it.
I'm looking forward to seeing the monster truck come together too! |

The below video is an update for Day 12 of the build, and the gloss work is looking much nicer now! Still not perfect, but it will never be unless I strip it back and start over, and well . . . not gonna happen!

The below video is an update for Day 13 of the build. The Build is Almost complete! One more day at the bench for the finishing touches should be all that is needed to get this one completed!

Great job on the videos. You were lucky to find that kit. 64 Ford kits are very hard to find now a days without having to pay a premium price. Looking forward to the finished product. |

Thanks! I feel so blessed to have been in the "right place at the right time" to acquire a lot of the kits I own, this one was no exception to that, hence all the extra effort to "build it up right". |
