| A friend of mine is looking to sell his nascar kits. Mostly late 80s through 90s Monogram and some AMT kits. Some sealed, most opened, but sealed inside. He'd like to sell about 75 cars as a lot. I'm trying to gauge interest if anyone is even interested or buys in bulk. Located in Iowa. I told him it would take forever to sell them one at a time. Not looking for a fortune. Well......I sold part of my collection to a national hobby dealer. I got decent money for most kits....but he told me 'No NASCAR kits'......he said they do not sell at a price worth his time. I offered sealed mint kits for $3 each....still no deal. This guy pays money for kits as he took 1000 kits, picked them up and paid cash.
So 75 kits you will be lucky to get $3 each....a price I could not get....plus shipping. That's $225 but most AMT kits are worth less.....a tough sell right now. |

Agree with Dave! Have sold kits at several model car contestes/shows plus EBAY. Right now just about any NASCAR kit from 80s forward is a hard sell

Thanks for the input guys. That's basically what I told him. Theres a half dozen in there that might be attractive, and the amt kits, basically parts for short track cars.
