Question for you resin casters out there. I have some resin parts that are no longer being made. I bought them from the man who mastered and cast the part. He is no longer producing the pieces in question. Is it a "foul" to cast copies yourself, not for resale but to complete your own personal builds? _________________ Dennis

I myself do not see any problem if you use them for yourself. Now if you were to resell them, than that would definitely not be right. That’s my opinion. |

I agree. Although with the advent of the 3D printer, casting is dying out, it's still considered bad form and even theft, to recast someone else's work for profit. I see no issue in you copying defunct items for personal use.
