Did Gambler Chassis delve into NASCAR too? Thought they just did sprint cars. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

I don't recall Gambler ever delving into NASCAR chassis construction. More likely, they were a money - paying sponsor, and Rick Hendrick was basically running the # 5 team out of his own pocket in its' first season of 1984.
In the 1984 season's final race at Riverside, the hood of the car had Honda Cars of Corona, which sounded like a paying sponsor; however Rick Hendrick owned the dealership, too !!! This particular # 5 car was a brand new road - course - only build, and its' YELLOW interior color gave notice to the team's upcoming Levi Garrett sponsorship for 1985 and beyond. |
