A friend who was clearing out his stash gave me a water-damaged #31 Lowe's Monte Carlo kit last month. I decided on a different livery. I realize I'm only about the 17,670,002nd person to build this car, but it's mine. A few modifications, but most of it's kit parts. Decals by Powerslide, except for the TV panel logo, which I had to swipe from the big Wetworks sheet.

There are flaws and compromises in the finished model, mainly because of some discrepancies I caught too late in the process, but it does have the virtue of that word "finished," so I got that goin' for me. Which is nice. Anyway, enjoy.

I had a hard time figuring out which car I wanted to build from the kit, since there's not a lot from the late '90s that really grabs me. But I went with this one and it turned out to be a fun project. And no collection really is complete without one. Very Happy Thanks for the kind words!

Looks great even if you were the 17,670,002nd person to build this one.

Thank you all for the kind words. It's funny - I was pretty critical of it when it was done, but after a few days I got to thinking "you know, this little car don't look half bad." Funny how that works. Very Happy

Thank you again.

Half bad? That's a sweet build! Especially considering it's a "Rescue". Everybody needs a Petty, Earnhardt and Gordon car. That's one great looking build.
