Most are of good quality as long as they are the real deal. Beware of fakes and copies especially on eBay.

I recall Mike writing about model building back in his Stock Car Racing magazine days. He mentions various kits often during the Barrett Jackson auctions.

There will never be a perfect kit, the rivet counters will see to that. Regardless, as a less than perfect builder I really don't look for or expect perfection in the hobby.
